In collaboration with Zen Maker lab, the North Vancouver School District and Carson Graham, we will be offering our Robotics, Mechatronics and Design academy again next year.
About the Robotics, Mechatronics & Digital Fabrication (RMD) Academy
The North Vancouver School District is pleased to partner with Zen Maker Lab to offer this STEAM Academy (Science Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) for students in Grades 10-12. Students will engage in learning opportunities that require the use of innovative technology, collaboration, and problem-solving skills involving math, science, and engineering principles.
Upon successful completion, students will receive a B.C. Ministry of Education grade-level credit for Robotics.

Who can Participate?
The RMD Academy is open to students in Grades 10-12.Selection for the RMD Academy
- Priority 1: Returning students
- Priority 2: Wait-listed students from the previous year
- Priority 3: Lottery for remaining students per Board Policy 605: Admission of Students to Schools
The total number of spots available will be dependent upon the number of returning students, the number of applications received, and the ability of schools to organize the school timetable to meet enrolment and programming requirements.

Deposit: To confirm a student’s registration and secure placement in the Academy for the 2022-23 school year, a non-refundable deposit of $215 is required by the deadline stated in acceptance letters. Please Note: Non-payment by the deadline will result in automatic withdrawal from the Academy.
